Searchable worldwide database of cememteries and headstones.
BMD Index UK
Commercial site provided by the Genealogist Society offering a complete range of records from 1837 onwards as published by the GRO. Whilst this allows users to search the indexes and order certificates online, like most services there are transcription errors and the search is particularly 'user friendly'. Charges also look cheap but unless you already have a good idea of names/dates/locations, costs can mount up quickly as you have to purchase subscription to access each county database.
Find My Past
Commercial site providing online records compiled by Family History Societies search over 66 million records including parish registers, memorial inscriptions, censuses, poor law documents and others plus view photographs of gravestones.
FamilySearch
Provided by the IGI this site enables visitors to search a large collection of births, deaths and marriage listings from their collection.
Find A Grave
Free searchable database of worldwide cemeteries, memorials, graves and headstones. Registration is not required to search the site but membership enables users to contribute photographs and information or link to people / memorials in the database.
FreeBMD
Free online searchable UK Birth, Death and Marriage index database.

Although this proports to be a listing of online census resources, the links lead mainly to their advertiser Ancestry.com. Having said that, there are some free sites listed alongsite the affliate links which are worth a visit and if you are looking for a well organised listing of Ancestry.com's available census by country and county then this is the site for you.
FreeCen UK
A free voluntary project associated with FreeBMD and FreeGen which aims to provide online searchable census index listings and transcriptions including 1841 1851 1861 1871 1891. Due to it's voluntary nature there is still a lot of information to be added but this is a great resource to start with.
